DR. FOSTER
A LIFE OF SERVICE
Dr. Foster is a best-selling author. He is the author or co-author of several scientific articles. His books include The Stress Book: Forty-Plus Ways to Manage Stress & Enjoy Your Life, Foster’s Opioid Addiction Classification Status Guide, The Opioid Epidemic Consumers & HealthCare Guide, and The Little Stress Book: ( publication . date Spring 2022). Dr. Foster is a Public Speaker, Stress & Pain Management consultant, and Rehabilitation Medicine Consultant. He also previously hosted a radio show called The Doctor Show.

Dr. Foster's humble beginning started in poverty as one of eight children of a single mother. His grandaunt, who had little or no formal education, raised him. He graduated from Yallahs Secondary (High) School and attended Morant Bay High School, where he graduated and later attended The University of the West Indies. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Special Chemistry and then a full academic fellowship to The City University of New York graduate school in the USA to study chemistry.

Dr. Foster graduated from The Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, New York, earning his Doctor of Medicine. At the City University of New York, he received a Master’s Degree in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science - BS (Hons) in Chemistry from the University of the West Indies. His medical training was completed at Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein Hospital, New York - Internship. Residency at New York University Medical Center/Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine-Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee – Fellowship, Electrodiagnostic Medicine (EMG).

​Dr. Foster worked as an Attending Physician and Clinical Instructor at Emory University Hospitals, Wesley Woods Geriatric Hospital, and Center for Rehab Medicine.
​
He initiated and helped founded The Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Center at Southern Regional Health System, Riverdale, GA, opened in 2004. He became its first medical director and served there for ten years.
​
Dr. Foster has medical staff privileges at several medical centers in the state of Georgia. He is the Center for Pain and Rehab Medicine & Personal Injury Solution Medical Director in Stockbridge, GA. His primary focus is Interventional Pain, Addiction Medicine, and Stress Management. He is also a member of several medical associations

He is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is Board Certified in Pain Medicine and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pain Medicine.

​ Dr. Foster's community service, leadership, and philanthropic work extend over 20 years. He Is a strong supporter of many charitable organizations. He is a founding member and the immediate past president of the Morant Bay High School Alumni Association – Atlanta Chapter, serving as VP for four years, Pres. four years, and board member two years. He is on the board of several non-profit organizations.
He is also the Chairman and CEO of the D. Terrence Foster Foundation Inc. This organization celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2022. It has recently adopted the Health Center in Yallahs, St. Thomas, collaborating with the Ministry of Health in Jamaica. The Vision of the D Terrence Foster Foundation Inc. is to provide healthcare and education for those underserved globally. It focuses on the development, enhancement, and promotion of healthcare and education globally, emphasizing our society's under-served and less privileged.
